Sakhi Niwas is a Government initiative aimed at providing safe, secure and conveniently located accommodation for working women, along with day-care facilities. The facility is available for working women who may be single, widowed, divorced, separated, or married women whose immediate family does not reside in the same city/area. It also covers women pursuing higher education or undergoing training who need to stay away from their families.
