SAMBAL: One Stop Centre

The One Stop Centre (OSC) is an initiative of the Government of India that provides integrated support and assistance to women affected by violence, including domestic violence, sexual assault, trafficking, and other forms of abuse. Established under the Ministry of Women & Child Development, OSCs function as a single-window support system, enabling survivors to access multiple essential services under one roof. These services include emergency response, police facilitation, medical assistance, legal aid, psychosocial counselling, and temporary shelter to ensure immediate support and facilitate their recovery and rehabilitation. Each OSC is linked with the 181 Women’s Helpline, enabling immediate response and referral to appropriate services for women in distress. 39 OSCs are currently operational across 30 district in the state.
