Aims & Objective

 Socio economic development of women in the state of Odisha.

Formation

• Mahila Vikas Samabaya Nigam(MVSN) has been registered as Apex Cooperative Society in the year 1991 vide Reg.No.24 Dt.6.5.91 and is functioning under the administrative control of Department of Women & Child Development Department, Govt of Odisha at W&CD Complex, Ganganagar, Unit-VI, Bhubaneswar.
• The first elected committee of management of MVSN consisting of 20 members has been formed recently during the election of MVSN held during Februay-March’2023.
• Smt. Swadhinbala Das has been elected as the president of the Board and is acting as the Chairperson, MVSN w.e.f  25.02.2023.

Activities undertaken by MVSN
To co-ordinate, facilitate & monitor implementation of schemes as per the direction of W&CD Department by way of releasing funds to the field functionaries / Beneficiaries and collection of UC from the districts.

• Providing hand holding support to W&CD Department for organizing different State Level Events & Training Programmes, Procurement of Good & Services (Printing of Brochures / Leaflet and distribution in the districts).

• Management of W&CD Complex, Ganganagar, Working Women’s Hostel, Dhenkanal  & Jajpur.
•  Providing skill based training to the members of affiliated society for their socio- economic upliftment.
• Conducting hands on training on maintenance of records and documents of affiliated societies.

• Facilitating marketing linkage with state government agencies for marketing of the products of the affiliated societies.
